brb, gonna cry 🥹

But seriously, providing praise and positive reinforcement to your RBTs make all the difference in your RBTs confidence during their sessions.

Bess Perkins, PBS Regional Coordinator for Colorado said it best: ”The heart of good ABA isn’t about hunting for errors. It’s about recognizing when something is done well and leaning into that success. When a learner gets it right, they deserve to feel that win. And so does the RBT who supported them.”

Shining Student Analyst! 🥳🎉

Erika Hulse is a current Student Analyst with Team PBS East Georgia. Read more as she shares her experience in our Student Analyst Mentoring Program:

"Hello everyone, my name is Erika Hulse. I’ve been working with PBS since July of 2022, and I’ve enjoyed my time with PBS since day one! PBS has taught me more than I could have expected. I love helping the kiddos and making a difference as a student analyst along with my amazing co-workers and mentors at PBS. I am on my way to becoming a board certified behavior analyst by the end of the summer of 2026. I’m currently enrolled in school at Endicott College. I can’t wait to see where PBS will continue to take me so I can continue to help change the lives of the littles and their families for the better.”

We’re so thankful for all that Erika does for the families she supports each day! We are so thrilled to be a part of her journey towards becoming a BCBA!

BACB RBT changes are coming! Are you ready? 👀⬇️

The BACB recently announced new and upcoming changes for RBTs starting on January 1st, 2026. Dr. Shane Spiker discusses these upcoming changes for current RBTs (and new & renewing RBTs in 2026.

What can you expect in 2026?!
✔️ A new 3rd Edition Task List
✔️ RBT PDUs (Professional Development Units)

Beginning in 2026, once an RBT has passed their exam, RBTs (current RBTs, renewing RBTs, and new RBTs in 2026), you’ll have a 2-year cycle where you will be required to collect PDUs. PDUs are in-service trainings and must be approved by an ACE coordinator & meet certain standards. 12 PDUs will be required for their entire certification cycle (the 2-year period) in addition to regular supervision requirements for the RBT certification.

Let's breakdown the process of becoming RBT Certified:

1️⃣ RBT Course Approved by the BACB
2️⃣ Competency Assessment (tells the BACB you meet certain requirements and completed by a BCBA or BCaBA)
3️⃣ Attestation Form (signed by someone in your organization to attest you meet your background requirements)
4️⃣ RBT Exam

Stay tuned as PBS will be offering PDUs for RBTs to meet their 2-year cycle requirement! 🤩

Follow us to stay updated on PDUs for YOU in 2026!

Student Analyst Spotlight! 🥳🎉

Tiara Bell is a Student Analyst with Team PBS Middle Georgia! Read more as she shares her experience with our team:

"Working as a Student Analyst at PBS has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional journey. Prior to joining PBS, I gained valuable experience as a Kindergarten Paraprofessional and as a Youth Direct Support Professional in a group home for at-risk youth. These roles deepened my passion for supporting youth with diverse abilities, backgrounds, and experiences, providing a strong foundation for my work in ABA. From day one, my supervising BCBAs and the regional leadership team have been exceptionally supportive, easing my transition into this field and guiding my academic growth. Their mentorship and encouragement have not only strengthened my skills but also increased my confidence as both a practitioner and a student. The team has offered extensive opportunities to refine my clinical skills, implement individualized treatment plans, collect and analyze data, and apply evidence-based strategies that lead to meaningful, lasting change. PBS fosters a collaborative and compassionate culture, ensuring services are delivered with dignity, cultural responsiveness, and empathy. Being part of such a dedicated, mission-driven team has reinforced my passion for ABA and confirmed that this is the field where I can truly make a difference."

We're so glad we can be a part of Tiara's journey to becoming a behavior analyst! Thank you for all you do for our families!
