Salt soap, nature’s mineral treasure. Crafted with mineral-rich Himalayan sea salt, clays, charcoal, spices, and nourishing oils, each bar offers gentle exfoliation and a creamy, hydrating lather that leaves skin smooth and radiant. Rare to find and carefully made, salt soap is a grounding ritual of self-care — a reminder that the simplest gifts from the earth are often the most luxurious.
Making salt soap, however, is truly an art form. Because salt is heavy, the soap batter hardens within minutes, giving the soap maker very little time to pour it into molds. Each bar must be carefully crafted with just the right blend of oils, butters, and salt to strike the perfect balance of hardness, lather, and skin-loving benefits. This process makes salt soap rare to find and even more special to use. The bars are rustic, unlike Cold Process soap.
I have only made 6 bars of each kind shown. They take 2 months to cure and have been patiently waiting to be boxed and find new homes, so it will be a while before I make more. The bars are $10 each and are not listed on the website. PM ME or better yet, if you are local, stop by the Ellington Farmers Market on Saturdays. They can also be shipped or picked up in Suffield.
