Our Story

With a strong background in minimally invasive surgery, sports medicine, and scoliosis, board-certified orthopedist Terrence Anderson, MD, is a trusted physician for patients and their families. He cares for patients of all ages at his private practice, Sugar Land, Texas. After earning his undergraduate degree from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, Dr. Anderson earned his Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He then went through a comprehensive orthopedic surgery residency at the United States Naval Medical Center San Diego. While serving as the team captain and All-American center on the football team during college, Dr. Anderson gained a unique perspective at the elite level of athletics as a young competitor. This experience helped carve his passion for treating pediatric patients and adolescent athletes.

To gain extensive experience and expertise, Dr. Anderson went on to complete a competitive fellowship program at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. During his fellowship, Dr. Anderson received comprehensive training in young adult hip surgery, pediatric orthopedics, and scoliosis surgery. Dr. Anderson is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He also maintains professional memberships with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Society of Military Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America. Throughout his career, Dr. Anderson has held several prestigious positions and is a known leader in the field of orthopedic medicine. He previously served at the Naval Hospital Guam and at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethseda, Maryland, as a proud member of the US Navy.

Dr. Anderson was also an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston prior to entering private practice. Dr. Anderson specializes in hip arthroscopy, as well as open surgical treatments for hip pain. He has had extensive research published in orthopedic journals and has presented his findings at multiple national meetings. Dr. Anderson is also known for his expertise in treating athletes who are still growing and have open growth plates. Outside of the office, Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, in their neighborhood of Missouri City, Texas. They have two sons, Kai and Blake, and stay active by exploring the Houston area, attending college football games, and participating in church activities.
