We had a Blessing of the Animals at the ranch today. Thank you Rev, for coming all the way from DFW and Blessing every living soul on the ranch, horses, dogs, a cat and humans alike.

UPDATE: the hay has been spoken for. It is going to some dear friends who run another therapeutic riding center.

We have 8 bales of hay from last year's 2nd cut. They are very heavy 5x5s and have been stored in our barn. It is the hay we feed our own horses, so is excellent quality. We have to get them out from under the barn before any welding happens and do not have room for all of them. So 5 of them are now for sale.
Know that when I say they are heavy, it means our 52 horsepower tractor is pushed to its max to pick them up.
We are offering them for sale for $75 each.

Since the insurance adjustor has done his thing, we need to take some bids on rebuilding the barn. We have one in already. Need a cpl more. If you know anyone that works on steel barns and may be interested, can you have them contact us?

Well, the insurance adjuster came. They are totalling the whole barn. Estimated $20,000 loss...not counting contents. Now we can start clean up (after this next batch of storms pass through) and seeing if we can salvage any of it for rebuild. It may not cost that much to replace if some can be salvaged...not counting contents which are mostly destroyed. 😭
We are gonna have to raise some $ to cover the deductible and what insurance does not cover. Please help if you can?
