Team Samoa Running and Fitness Group --www.TeamSamoa.org-- TEAM SAMOA/PASIFIKA: fitness movement for Samoans, Pacific Islanders, and everyone. I have a titanium plate in my heart to plug the hole.

On May 10, 2018 I (Victor) suffered a massive stroke due to a heart defect I had in my heart for 58 years which was undetected. A blood clot went through the hole in my heart to my brain and I could not move or speak. I am grateful for two parents in the medical profession who taught us to eat right and exercise. My doctors said I am still on the earth due to good health. We can all do this, it is never too late.

Team I am finally recovered from my cold ❄️ It was related to grief. I am feeling much better and the first thing I felt last Saturday at Wilson Park in Compton was the Endorphins! What a feeling. Today I felt it again at Dills Park and the LA River Trail! I ran 30 minutes on Saturday, 35 minutes Tuesday at Somerset Park and 4O minutes today at Dills. πŸ€™πŸοΈπŸ˜€

Team! 5 of us were at the 1 mile or 3 mile Downey ARC Walk at the Stonewood Mall today. Marie and Ele walked the mile, I was 3rd in the 3 mile, first in the old person division. The prizes, medal, T-shirt and the Grand Prize the breakfast burrito from Acapulco Restaurant!!!! Yummy πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

I had to run at 6:00 a.m. Very dark plus a lot of construction at Somerset Park. I was able to run 30 minutes.

45 minute run for the three of us plus 1 = 4! Good to see the Buenos Dias people along the nature trail at Dills Park in Paramount plus I like to run on the LA River Trail, not crowded. Ran to the 105 freeway then back to the park. Say a Pasifika young man running πŸ˜€πŸ€™πŸοΈ

πŸ˜€πŸ€˜πŸ‘£πŸƒβ€βž‘οΈLakewood Run 5K on 3/7/26 Very windy that day on the first mile. Marie was injured, Did not participate, I was fourth in my 60-69 male age group, time 30:19, 75/267 males, 106/745 runners. Not bad for an old person. 😴

Is everyone OK? πŸ˜ŠπŸ™ƒWe missed you at Senator Lara Linear Park in Lynwood this morning. 45 minutes of running on the trail and at Ham Burke Park. I met my Buenos Dias friends plus a nice group at Ham Burke. One gentleman is a retired businessman who knew Lynwood High Principal Mickey Cureton, my boss in 1988 to 1993. πŸ€™πŸ˜ŠπŸοΈπŸŒΊ

Downey TLC I almost did not get results because I had Marie's number and she had mine, oops. πŸ˜΄πŸ˜„

I was 3rd in 60 to 69 males, 255 out of 1221 runners time 30:26

Marie was 13th in age group and 776 overall 47:48 time πŸ‘πŸ˜„

Behind on posting, Marie and I were at the Downey TLC 5K and over 1200 in race. Good to see many Downey USD friends plus Dr Sonya. Marie had Friday Night Lights competition at 5150 Cross Fit. I ran with Compton Run Club. Today I ran from Somerset Park to Church and back then I did my journaling at Rosie the Riveter Park in Long Beach. I am tired. 😴
