Thank you Providence Senior Living and Astrid Zayas MBA for having our Sunshine Buddies ☀️ out there reading poetry and interacting with older adults for our Poetry & PJ’s event.

In a world that often races forward, we must remember the power of intergenerational connections. When children spend time with older adults, they gain wisdom, empathy, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. These events and interactions not only enrich the lives of young ones but also bring joy and purpose to our seniors.

Let’s encourage these meaningful connections—whether through family gatherings, community programs, or simple conversations. The exchange of stories, laughter, and life lessons between generations is a gift that benefits us all. Let's make sure these bonds continue to flourish.

Today was incredibly special! In honoring my father’s memory and his service to our country, Sunshine Buddies & Semper Fi Seniors made a heartfelt visit to the Alexander “ Sandy” Nininger Veterans Nursing Home. With the generous support of CarePatrol of Broward & Miami-Dade we distributed donuts to over 80 residents and the “buddies” enjoyed a wonderful time sharing stories, poems, and artwork between our beloved veterans.

This event was personal, my father passed in 2022 because of the effects of agent orange. Always a proud US Marine & Vietnam vet, he instilled in us the importance of honoring our servicemen and women. I carry on this tradition in his honor 🇺🇸

🌞 Spreading Sunshine with Sunshine Buddies! 🌞

We're thrilled to share that our little volunteers from Sunshine Buddies, supported by CarePatrol of Broward & Miami-Dade, brought joy and smiles to Waterside Landing by passing out beautiful flowers to the residents during dinner 🌷✨

Seeing the happiness these small acts of kindness can bring reminds us of the power of community and compassion. A huge thank you to our young volunteers and everyone at Waterside Landing for making this day so special!

🌸👩‍🦳 Celebrating Mother's Day with at Oakmont Village was a true delight, made possible by the generous sponsorship of CarePatrol and the dedicated volunteers of Sunshine Buddies! 🌼💕 Together, we brought smiles to the older adults by passing out flowers, while witnessing heartwarming interactions between the kids and the residents. Grateful for the opportunity to spread love and joy in our community. 🌻
