As some of our Facebook friends and followers have heard, Mountain Lifeflight has decided to partner with PHI Air Medical. This decision was made due to recent changes in the Air Medical environment in and around Lassen County by a larger corporate provider. Around the 1st of October 2015, PHI will be taking over Mountain Lifeflights operations. Twenty two years ago Mountain Lifeflight was established with a vision to serve Lassen and surrounding County’s with a full service high quality Air Medical program. This was accomplished by hiring numerous highly skilled and compassionate caregivers through the years. We thank each of them for their commitment and service. To our patients we have transported over the years, we appreciate having had the opportunity to assist you in your health care needs. For our membership, PHI has agreed to honor your membership and we encourage you to renew with PHI as they will be the only full service provider in Lassen county with both helicopter and airplane service. No other provider will honor your membership and therefore you must request Mountain Lifeflight currently or PHI after they begin operations.
And last but most importantly, those employee’s that gave all. Ray Watson, Chuck Jerpe, Clinton Reger, Christopher Ritz and James Bradshaw, you will never be forgotten.

Mountain Lifeflight is located at the Susanville Airport in Lassen County near Lassen National Volcanic Park and is equipped to respond to 911 emergency calls by helicopter and interfacility (non-scheduled) emergency transports with fixed wing aircraft.

Mountain Lifeflight's management team is in Virginia Beach, VA learning about the latest trends in Air Critical Care Transport. The Air Medical Transport Conference runs through Wednesday. We are also looking at new equipment to provide increased services to the residents of Lassen, Plumas and Modoc counties.
