I have been a massage therapist for 11 years. I specialize in treatment/medical massage where I focus on not just helping my client’s symptoms but get to the root cause and eradicate it and teach them so they can keep it away. I am also a Certified instructor of Infant Massage and a Holistic Naturopathy Practitioner. My passion is helping others. Over these past 11 years I have seen so many people in such pain or post-surgery and injuries. Some will tell me “Oh well, I am just old, aren’t I supposed to feel like this?" or they have been trained to think like western medicine - relive pain by soothing and addressing the symptoms and not the cause. I think people are sick of that! Lots of people come to me because they really have no other alternative. They have tried everything else. I love what I do and I am so happy to help and educate, but nothing changes... I might be able to help the limited amount of people I can get into my office, but it is a constant flood. I have been teaching people for years, but we should have learned so many of these principles to maintenance our bodies when we were little. When I started searching for ways to help our little ones so that they are raised with the idea of self-awareness and see value of their bodies, Infant Massage just made sense. I decided to put my money where my mouth is and become an instructor. With each family I can help connect with their child we help create a child with self-awareness and hopefully one who will take action to maintain their bodies throughout their lives. Infant Massage is just the beginning, and I am creating programs for several age groups through High School age. Did you know that arthritis does not have to be our future in old age? If we understood how to balance our bodies as a youth we would have less pain, less imbalance, and less deterioration of the joints by the time we hit 50. And this is just one topic. There are several lies we buy into. Being a part of this mission to start with our babies and teach them some of these basics and gain a strong mind/body connection, as time goes on, we will have additional classes to teach them more and more as they grow. Let’s not give them the tradition of "Grandpa had arthritis, so I will too."
