As a doula, I’m here to attune, not to take over. That means watching closely, listening deeply, and knowing when to offer support — and when to simply hold the space.

Quiet presence is just as important as active support. Because birth isn’t a performance to manage. It’s a sacred process to protect.

Today, May 17th, is NEC Awareness Day, and we want to help bring light to how this disease impacts newborns and their families.

Necrotizing enterocolitis is a devastating intestinal disease affecting vulnerable infants during their first weeks and months of life.
