In just three short weeks of Newport will experience the excitement of the 47th Annual Newport Pig Cookin' Contest. Beginning on Friday night with live music, food, vendors and rides and continuing into Saturday with more live entertainment and the announcement of the contest winners. Also on Saturday, they'll be selling Eastern style Pork Bar B Que plates with all the fixin's . The Newport Pig Cookin' Contest is a local, non-profit organization that has given over 1 million dollars back to the community. Come out, enjoy the family atmosphere in your Community Park.
