This morning I am reminded that even when life seems to be going the wrong direction, there is hope! When we allow ourselves to be caught up in “little things”, we can easily make them bigger than they are. When we slow down and work at just being still, we are reminded there is a plan!! We need to stay the course and follow instead of trying to change the course.

Welcome to Guiding Light Services: A place to Find Hope and Healing. I am Amy Buehrer, a Licensed Social Worker with a passion to support individuals on their personal healing journey. I have over 20 years experience in Mental Health and Addiction treatment including 15 years offering individual and couples therapy. My practice is based in evidence-based techniques that include Intensive training in trauma therapy including EMDRIA-APPROVED EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and others pertaining to Addiction, Trauma, Anxiety, And Depression. My emphasis is on Trauma and its impact of daily functioning and focus on assisting individuals to hope, healing, and freedom. The foundation of my services is based in biblical principles and the belief that faith is crucial to healing.
