mindfulness doesn’t have to be complicated.
sometimes it looks like…

showing up to stretch
sitting quietly for a few minutes
sharing a mindful lunch
or being in a room with other kind people

here’s what’s happening this week:

• self care club – sound, meditation & restorative
• chair yoga – gentle movement for real bodies
• mindful break – a pause in the middle of your day
• mindful movement – stretch, breathe, make space

you just have to show up.
i’ll handle the REST.

things you should know about me…

i didn’t start out in health and wellness.

i attended suny geneseo & syracuse university & trained as an art historian and museum professional.

my thesis explored medieval nuns and gendered architecture (yes, really).

i spent years in colorguard, marching band, and drum corps, played flute & bassoon & performed with drama club in high school.

movement and sound have always been part of my life.

i’ve also been a heart patient for more than 20 years - living inside a body that needs extra care has shaped everything about how i approach health.

i’m a mom to a 12-year-old human and two very different cats. my partner monica completes our family.

i love creating.

i don’t really understand sports… but i do understand ‘flow state’ & team dynamics.

this is why i do this work.

mindful health isn’t about becoming a different person.

it’s about coming back to the one you already are.

i don’t typically speak yoga.

you probably won’t hear a lot of traditional yoga cues in my classes.

instead you might hear things like…

“reach for the last roll of 2020 toilet paper.”“melt like a chocolate bar on a hot day.”“tip toe your fingers across the sky.”

because movement doesn’t have to sound a certain way to work.

what makes this different?

this isn’t about perfect poses.it isn’t about flexibility.it isn’t about keeping up.

it’s about whole-self care.

we slow down.we notice the body.we breathe.we make space for real life.

real bodies.real lives.real mindful movement.

you don’t have to be “good” at yoga here.you just have to show up.

and that is more than enough. 🤍

this work isn’t about fixing you.

it’s about remembering that you already have the ability to be well — right now.

sometimes you just need someone to sit beside you and help you find your way back to yourself.

being well is about balance and harmony

not perfection
not having everything figured out

it’s the quiet relationship between body and breath mind and moment

sometimes balance looks like rest
sometimes it looks like movement
sometimes it looks like asking for help

and sometimes balance looks like eating the ice cream and enjoying every bite

wellness isn’t a destination it’s a practice
