Kindness is medicine, no prescription needed. Holding the door, sharing a smile, giving a complement, or lending a hand. These small acts release feel-good hormones, lower stress and anxiety, and support other aspects of health. Be kind to humankind, it's the healthiest habit you can have.

“If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.” — Dalai Lama

That quote may bring a smile, but its truth is powerful: even the smallest creature can make the biggest impact. Let’s not underestimate the fight against malaria. Awareness saves lives.

Today on World Mosquito Day, we’re reminded of the tiny insect behind one of the world’s deadliest diseases: malaria.

Every year it causes 219 million cases and claims 435,000 lives — mostly across Africa and India.

It takes just one bite to change a life, but protection is simple: nets, repellents, and medication.
The fight isn’t over, and awareness saves lives.

Back-to-school season has arrived! (It felt fast to us, too.) If your kids are walking to school this year, please take a few minutes to cover some tips on how to stay safe.

🚶It sounds elemental, but remind kids to always look left, right, and left again before crossing the street, and keep looking until they’re safely on the other side.

📵Teach kids to put phones, headphones, and devices down while crossing the street; it’s especially important to reinforce this message with teenagers.

🚸Use sidewalks or paths whenever possible and cross at street corners, using traffic signals and crosswalks.

⬅️If there are no sidewalks, walk facing traffic as far to the left as you can.

🛑Kids younger than 10 should cross the street with an adult if at all possible. Most kids can’t judge the speed and distance of oncoming cars until that age.

Mosquitoes can transmit a variety of viruses so it's important to be prepared to keep you and your family mosquito-bite free. Avoid mosquito bites by following the three Ds:

🦟 DRAIN – Eliminate standing water where mosquitoes live and breed.
🦟 DRESS – Cover your skin with clothing when outdoors.
🦟 DEET – Use insect repellents that contain DEET or other EPA-approved repellents.

LARVAE TIME. August and September is when the youngest stage of many types of ticks become most active. Thousands of 6-legged specks hatch from dime-sized clumps of eggs, and then they generally cluster together while they wait for a host to come by. Here’s a story of what can happen next (https://bit.ly/flipflopticks)
