CNY Diagnostic Imaging has been serving the Central New York Community since its doors opened in 1979. Ours was the first multimodality out-patient imaging center in Central New York. CNY Diagnostic Imaging offers high quality imaging services that emphasize prompt service to patients and their referring physicians in a pleasant atmosphere. Exams are individually tailored to patients needs and monitored by on-site radiologists. Accurate imaging services and patient care remain our top priority. CNY Diagnostic Imaging provides diagnostic imaging services in Mammography including Digital Mammography, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, Fluoroscopy, MRI, including Breast MRI, MRI guided Breast biopsy, CT scanning, Ultrasound, including Ultrasound guided Breast and Thyroid Biopsies, Bone Densitometry and General X-ray Procedures. Our state of the art equipment provides patients with the best possible exam available today. Preventative maintenance checks and testing are performed on all our equipment routinely. Our professional staff will provide a pleasant atmosphere and a short waiting time. We always explain the examination beforehand and answer any questions to alleviate concerns. Our staff is also active in continuing medical education each year. Our Technologists are licensed in New York State and are registered and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Our offices keep up to date on the latest requirements for radiology facilities. We have been accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for Mammography, Vascular, Ultrasonography, CT, MRI, and Stereotactic Biopsy. We have met all the necessary requirements for this which included a peer review evaluation of staff qualifications, equipment, quality control, quality assurance programs, image quality and breast dose. Today is World Dense Breast Day, a time to raise awareness about the critical role breast density plays in breast health.
- Nearly 50% of women over 40 have dense breast tissue
- Dense tissue can hide signs of cancer on a mammogram, since both appear white on the image
- Breast density is only visible through imaging, not something you can feel or notice
- All mammogram reports now include breast density, helping women better understand their individual risk
