Many of us have been effected in some way by someone we know who is an addict of some sort, be it drugs or alcohol. Addiction destroys the lives of those who are addicted as well as their families and those around them, including me and mine. I will always be an advocate for these types of organizations. Helio provides so many resources and assistance to help those who want and need it. I am grateful to be a part of a team who gets to work with Helio and support their quest to bring hope and healing to our community. Please consider giving, even if its $1.

Not sure how I kept almost the pace the same the entire time but I did! My legs felt pretty good. Rest of me.. dont ask 🫣. Was a long day at work. I ordered a digestive tincture to try out since my issues are not resolving. That came today from Pupillams. Mountain Goat 🐐 Relay sunday. Hoping the weather changes some.

I crushed it this morning! My goal was 1:05. Ive been running 6 miles around 1:07-1:10 at home. I dont have any recent 10k races to go by. I think my last one was in 2023 and it was like 1:35. I definitely set a new PR today. My legs felt pretty good, I still struggled with the gas pains on my chest. I wish i could figure that out! All the volunteers on the course were amazing. We were lucky to be blessed with Kevin Collins pacing us through most of it. Im feeling good! Now to get on with my day 🥰Thank you to .and.macros as always for their support and encouragement. No speedwork for me today, they were running in the uneven grassy soccor fields today and decided to take it easy” bc I have a little hip strain from pulling Milo yesterday and since I have a 10k Saturday I want to be sure I feel enough to try my best. I tried running based on how I felt. I dont look at my watch anymore on runs except for when i do speedwork. My pace doesn’t matter to me anymore and I am naturally getting faster by being consistent. Hope you got out and enjoyed the sun! Also, im glad I decided to run at home bc I ended up packing long leggings and a long sleeve for speedwork bc I originally planned on going… I would have sweat to death 😂🫣.

Its taken a long time and hard work on myself to realize one thing: Ladies we need to eat! Diet culture is toxic. Food is not bad. Our bodies need protein fats and carbs to survive, to heal, to grow. You want to run endless miles or lift pounds upon pounds…. EAT!! You want results? EAT! You want healthy bones, muscles and brains? EAT! Im no longer afraid to eat. I no longer restrict. I also no longer binge. Ive been maintaining 80lb loss for over a year. I eat, I run, I rest. Underfueling leads to boneloss, muscle loss, injuries etc. you want to maintain long runs… please EAT! It hurts my soul seeing so many women not eating, leading to underfuling while overtraining. We need to do better for the generation behind us is watching.
