Fitness Frontier

Fitness Frontier A place for motivation, inspiration, and learning about health and fitness. My story: I haven't always been into fitness, but have always liked sports.

I just never had the confidence to try out for any in school. I wasn't very active after high school, and was probably around 200 lbs. I was never really unhappy, I was just enjoying my life. I didn't step on the scale, only at the doc's office. I was 20 and "obese". Those words rang loud for many years. I decided, at 27, I wanted to join a gym. I met with a trainer, and thought he was gonna kill me LOL. By the end of the 6 week session, I wanted more, I was seeing improvements. After a few months, I knew I wanted to be a trainer. I'd always wanted to help people. In 2005, I signed up for school. After school, I put my career on the back burner.I'm still working on this process. My weight has fluctuated over the years. Long story short, I was able to maintain loss after 4 pregnancies beginning 2011. Currently I am part of a group that is supporting eating enough food for my activity, not restricting, or shaming food or bodies. My best friend Kris has been such a rock for me through this weightloss journey, we've had ups, downs, and sideways' lol. I'm so glad to have her support, along with SO many others.
