Doula Deb

Doula Deb Birth, Postpartum & Sleep Doula: Compassionate Doula Care, Elevating Your Parenthood Experience My approach is simple.

I believe that every family should receive comprehensive care, starting from pregnancy, continuing through childbirth, and lasting as your family grows. Since 2008, I have been working as a professional doula, providing holistic care that meets your family's needs in every aspect, and guiding you as your family grows. My entry into the perinatal field in 2008 was a pivotal moment in my life. From the moment I discovered this calling, I knew it was my true purpose. In just three months, I completed professional doula training, leaving behind a successful career to pursue a new path that has changed my life forever. Today, as I balance my family responsibilities, my passion for supporting other families has only deepened. I have not only witnessed but also personally experienced the gap that often exists between families and the care they receive during this critical period of transition. My mission is to bridge that gap and provide the unwavering support that every family deserves during this transformative time.

One of the hardest parts of the first year is feeling like you should know what to do… while quietly Googling at 2am and trying not to fall apart.

Support shouldn’t only be available to people with extra time, money, or energy. So here are some free or low-cost resources families can access right now:

✨ Local Lactation + Feeding Clinics
Many hospitals and community programs offer free drop-in clinics or low-cost consults. This isn’t just about latch — it’s about feeding rhythm, weight gain, and emotional support.

✨ New Parent Support Groups
Libraries, health departments, doulas, and community centers often run free meet-ups. Connection matters. Being seen matters. (HELLO BABY LOUNGE!!)

✨ Nurse + Public Health Home Visits
In many areas, families can receive free postpartum check-ins at home — for physical recovery, newborn care, and emotional support.

✨ Postpartum Mental Health Hotlines + Warm Lines
Not crisis-only. Just someone trained to listen, normalize, and help you find next steps.

✨ Medicaid-Covered Doula Care
If you’re on Medicaid, you may qualify for birth or postpartum doula support — at no cost to you. Yes… really. Ask me if you’re unsure where to start.

✨ Free Feeding + Sleep Education from Trusted Sources
Not TikTok overwhelm… real education. Pediatric clinics, lactation networks, doulas, and therapists often publish gentle, evidence-based guides.

✨ Community Food + Essentials Support
Food banks, diaper banks, and mutual aid groups exist so you don’t have to choose between groceries and formula. Using them is not failure. It’s community care.

✨ Library Programs + Storytime
Regulation for baby. Adult interaction for you. And yes — getting out of the house counts as a win.

None of these replace individualized medical care when needed. But they do reduce isolation, help you understand what’s normal, and soften the mental load.

Because you shouldn’t have to struggle alone.

And needing support doesn’t mean you’re failing — it means you’re human in a very big season.

If you want help finding local resources near you, message me the city you live in. I’ll help you get connected.

You deserve support — whether the season feels messy, magical, or somewhere in between.

Some moments are “don’t wait and see.”
In this week’s podcast, Dr. Kailey Buller explains how clinicians triage symptoms — including the situations where it’s time to go straight to the ER. Clear, calm guidance from a doctor, inside this week’s episode of Real Emergency or Newborn Glitch? 🎧

Every family deserves steady care in the first year — not just the ones who can afford private services. And if you’re on Medicaid, you may already have access to postpartum doula support at no cost to you

That can look like:
• help with feeding
• newborn sleep + soothing support
• emotional processing
• guidance through recovery
• nervous system regulation
• reassurance that you’re not alone

You don’t have to wait for a crisis.

You don’t have to “qualify” by struggling.

You don’t have to do this without support.

💛 How to access care:

1. Find a doula who accepts Medicaid
2. Schedule care during pregnancy or postpartum
3. Your doula bills Medicaid directly

And yes — even if you didn’t have a birth doula, you can still receive postpartum support.

If you’re unsure where to start or want to know whether you qualify, send me a message. I’m happy to walk you through it — no pressure, just care.

Because support should be accessible.

And you deserve it.

Not every rough night is a sleep problem.

Babies change. Bodies adjust. Systems get stretched. One hard week doesn’t mean something is broken—patterns over time tell the real story 🤍

When something feels off, it matters.
This week on the podcast, Dr. Kailey Buller breaks down how doctors think about red flags vs reassurance — helping parents trust their instincts without living in panic. Listen to Real Emergency or Newborn Glitch? wherever you get your podcasts 🎧
