I’ve had a busy but exciting past year! For the past 20 years, I have been doing personal training and small group strength training…and I still do both in person and virtually depending on where you are! This past year, I also became certified as a happiness coach! Yes, a happiness coach! My brother said if there was anyone on the planet that should coach happiness, it is me…so there you go. I also still offer life coaching (which does also come with a healthy dose of happiness). Additionally this past year, I went through Cornell University’s Nutrition and Healthy Living Certification Program and loved it! You can find more info on my website Colleenwellness.com. If you have a wearable (Oura ring, Apple Watch, etc), you likely see HRV as one of the measured health indicators each day. Heart Rate Variability is not something that we talk about very often but it is one of the important metrics that we now have the ability to capture...and improve if necessary. I liked the article below because the advice it gives is the same advice I have been talking about for years. Exercise regularly. Eat health food that comes from the earth (plants, nuts, meat...and skipping processed foods that come in crinkly bags). Sleep consistently. Meditate. Make a gratitude list. Skip or reduce alcohol. I didn't say it was easy, just simple. Questions? Just ask!! Happy to have you join us on the wellness path!

It is National Clean Off Your Desk Day! Yes, that really is a thing. I love to do this in January for the new year and in September (honoring the old back to school tradition). I recommend emptying all the drawers and only putting back the things you need and use. Get rid of anything extra. Then go to the top of your desk and clear everything off. Clean all surfaces and only replace the items that you use and that you like. Done!! Enjoy the process and have an amazing new year!!
