Ladies how ya’ll feeling? I would ask the fellas if they’re alright, but this post isn’t about them…. lol…

I know it’s been a while, so I figured it was time to do a “Check-in.”

This year has been a world wind and these last few weeks were the icing on the cake. I’ve been doing my best to navigate the crazy, but life is kicking my ass, like for real lol. It feels like mercury has been in Gatorade for the past 6 months and I’m patiently waiting for it to end. In the meantime I figured that I would try and get myself back to some sense of normalcy.

I’ve been back to my workout, working on getting back to my diet and creating more. Some days I struggle, but I just remind myself that I owe it to myself to become the best version of me. I know it may take some time but I’m dedicated and determined to bounce back.

Enough about me, how are ya’ll? How are you working through the chaos?
M.

With only 14 days left until the Endo March we are racing to the finish line. In preparation for the march I found myself doing something completely out of my comfort zone. Normally I play it safe and stick to what I know but I decided to switch it up a little. I stepped in front of a camera for the first time today in almost 10 years and let me tell you I struggled, but I made it through. After all the anxiety, feeling like I made a mistake choosing to do this, and numerous takes I got it done and I felt a sense of accomplishment. Battling Endo often leaves me feeling isolated, depleted, unmotivated, emotionally drained, and unattractive so doing this for myself and seeing it through made me proud. When is the last time you’ve done something out of your normal or something that you haven’t been able to do because of Endo?

The Endo Meet Up needs your support!
As we continue to bring awareness to Endometriosis in the month of March, we are looking for the support of our community to help us spread the word and bring awareness year round.

Endometriosis is a dibilating diease that effects roughly 190 million girls and women of reproductive age globally. What this mean is that girls as young as 11 can suffer from Endo and have no idea due to a lack of knowledge and care from physicians and a lack of awareness in the public. For most of us it can take up to 10 years to be diagnoised with this incapacitating diease, but with your help we can provide support and education to those affected by endometriosis, and to research its prevention and cure.

Did you know that Gabrielle Union-Wade is a fellow Endo Warrior? During a conference back in August of 2018 she spoke candidly about her fertility issues stating, “Towards the end of my fertility journey I finally got some answers, because everyone said ‘You’re a career woman, you’ve prioritized your career, you waited too long and now you’re just too old to have a kid – and that’s on you for wanting a career. The reality is I actually have adenomyosis.” As Endometriosis Awareness Month and Women’s History Month goes on let’s continue to support and uplift all the bad ass in our community.
