This Labor Day, we honor the dedication, resilience, and hard work of individuals in every community, including parents, caregivers, and educators who work tirelessly daily. Your efforts, seen and unseen, make a difference in the lives of children and families across Florida. Today, we celebrate your contributions and the value of rest, renewal, and time with loved ones.

Please join us on https://www.facebook.com/popinfl/ for our AI-Presented Series, "Caring for the Caregiver" on Wednesday, April 27th, starting at 5 -6 PM (EST), as we discuss YOU, the caregiver! This four-module series was designed to help us remember to care for ourselves.
We will discuss ways that our children's needs impact us and complete a small activity to realistically evaluate how we are taking care of our own needs. We all know you can't fill others' buckets without actively filling your own.
Each module is roughly ten minutes long, and there will be breaks between each. You can watch all modules consecutively, or at your leisure!
You're invited to join our AI presentation tomorrow Tuesday at 5:00pm for FB Live. We will have engaging conversation about the power of self-determination in students. When young people build self-determination skills, they gain the confidence and tools to speak up for themselves and make meaningful choices that shape their futures.
This session will explore essential elements of self-determination, including:
Understanding self and others
Personal management
Effective communication
Self-advocacy
Advocacy within systems
Decision-making
Goal setting
Problem-solving
These foundational skills help students recognize their strengths, develop a sense of agency, and build a strong voice for their own lives. We hope you’ll join us for this informative and empowering session!

Please join our AI presenter on Thursday, August 26th at 1 PM EST as we discuss the art of collaborative communication.
As advocates, we must come to the table prepared, well-organized, and knowledgeable of our students' rights within the IDEA. We must also understand our own body language, use active listening techniques, and be ready to contribute with a collaborative mindset.
This can be difficult, especially in moments of dispute, but it is still more beneficial than not. It is important to understand that all the professionals we encounter are here for the benefit of our children. Knowing this, miscommunications still can and will occur, and disputes are natural. Let's take the emotion out of advocacy. It's still true that you can catch more bees with honey than with vinegar.
