Ok so, 1st off I want to say Thank You! Thank you to every person who has prayed for our girl, who donated to the Encore for Emily or her GFM, and to everyone who has followed and supported us on Mily's Journey to beat Ewings Sarcoma. The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and our community has been overwhelming to say the least. With that being said, here its the update from her latest scans. I am posting 3 pics along with this post. The 1st two are the MRI results from her post op showing a front and side view of the cancerous tumor in her L2. The 3rd picture is of the MRI which was done yesterday and shows how her cancer is looking now. So what are you looking at you ask? You are looking at images of a 15 yr old girl who has fought her heart out and is WINNING!!! Yes I said winning because the cancer and tumor is pretty much gone!!! 😠She will still have to have 6 weeks of radiation but its now more of a preventative measure to make sure it doesnt come back. Is her journey over? No, it never will be, but this part of the fight is almost over and my little mama heart just cannot stop crying with happiness! For the last 2 months I have sat mentally silent in my fear that there would come a day when I may have to face the reality that we may one day have to bury our child but for the foreseeable future that is something I no longer have to worry about and that is why I cant stop crying tears of happiness! She still has a long road ahead as far as learning to walk but I know now that I can look forward to seeing her walk across the stage at graduation, that one day I will get to see her dance with her dad at her wedding and that her neices and nephews will no longer have to come to know her through pictures from the past. TODAY IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE! Again, thank you to everyone for the love and support and I hope you continue to follow us on her continuing journey of the warrior princess we all know she is!!!
