Legendary Rapper T-Pain chose Acoustiblok Inc. to design his professional recording studio

T-Pain, a Grammy award-winning Rap singer, songwriter and record producer contacted Acoustiblok about creating the ideal acoustical environment in his new studio, located in Atlanta. Acoustiblok (Blok16) was installed in the walls and ceiling to create the desired acoustics for high quality recording production.

Patented Blok16 is unique in that it does not stop or absorb sound, but rather the heavy 1/8-inch thick and very limp material actually transforms the acoustical energy into internal inaudible friction energy as it moves with the sound waves.

POST-CONSTRUCTION Solution to Home Noise
It’s the perfect solution to home studios and theaters, laundry and utility rooms, bedroom demising walls or almost any room that requires better acoustics or noise reduction.

Acoustiblok Wallcover (AWC) is a very unique surface mounted version of Acoustiblok material that reduces sound transmissions through walls. AWC is approximately ¼” (6.35mm) thick, comes in a sheet that’s 4’ x 8’in size and has been laboratory tested to give an STC53 when applied to a standard drywall/stud wall assembly, (like the typical wall in hotels, condo’s, apartments, etc.).

The exposed surface is a woven silver fabric that can be finished like drywall in a number of textured, painted, or wallpapered finishes.

Quiet a Noisy Pickleball Court with PickleBlok !
Due to pickleball’s skyrocketing popularity in the area, Poinsettia Community Park added six lighted pickleball courts to their neighborhood recreational park in Carlsbad, California.

The City of Carlsbad contacted Acoustiblok, a leader in the pickleball industry in resolving challenging court noise issues about the problem. After consulting with an Acoustiblok pickleball specialist, the city decided on the company’s green shade of 1/8-inch thick PickleBlok (STC28) outdoor sound barrier to better blend into their park setting.

Acoustiblok® Quiets Noisy Dredge Pump on Environmental Project close to Residential Neighborhood in SE Florida

Grand Canal Project, FL –Acoustiblok® was contacted by the engineering firm working on the Indian River Lagoon project about a noise issue; the dredge pump needed to boost the sediment in a slurry pipeline located in a residential canal exceeded the set noise limits.

Based on the specifications, Acoustiblok designed a sound reduction enclosure using their patented Marine All Weather Sound Panel System (MAWSPS) - STC up to 37 and NRC-1.00 at < 2.5” thick.

Both sound-blocking and sound absorbing, the panels are well proven in the marine industry; the high sound absorbency of the panels substantially brings down the acoustical energy around the equipment by absorbing much of the sound inside the enclosure, while the Acoustiblok Aerogel composite in the panels provides an outstanding sound isolation barrier.

According to the firm, the MAWSPS exceeded their expectations and reduced the decibel readings to well below the requirements; this allowed them to continue operating without delays (24/7) and ensure pump maintenance.

The MAWSPS (tested to withstand up to an amazing 367-mph wind load) is entirely low corrosion welded aluminum, washable, 0-smoke/flame and hydrophobic. Plus, it is virtually impervious to salt water, humid salt air, mold, UV, chlorine air and harsh chemicals.

Rooftop Dining and Entertainment Noise
Luxury roof top leisure or entertainment spaces are the height of fashion right now. And if you are lucky enough to have one, it’s a good idea to create the right acoustic ambiance to go along with the beautiful decor.

That means eliminating or reducing the offensive sounds so you can listen to the intended music or background soundscape—this all sets the mood for an incredible experience you and your guests will remember for a long time.

On this project, the problem was the annoying noise coming from an AC unit and the various vents and conduits near the dining and lounge area.

For the solution, our custom Industrial All Weather Sound Panels (IAWSP’s) were installed. IAWSP’s (STC up to 37 and NRC-1.00 at < 2.5” thick) were selected because they are both sound-blocking and sound absorbing. Power Generation Noise Barrier - AcoustiFence
Acoustiblok was contacted about a power fuel cell site that was receiving noise complaints from nearby neighbors. After discussing the situation, Acoustiblok recommended installing Industrial AcoustiFence Curtains (STC28 - this represents to the human ear approximately an 85% sound reduction).

Eco-friendly AcoustiFence (AF) is an innovative reinforced 1/8-inch-thick sound barrier that has a unique characteristic that sets it apart from other sound barriers when dealing with a range of frequencies; the heavy very limp AcoustiFence material actually vibrates from sound waves. Noisy Neighbor Solution
This noisy neighbor problem occurred in Florida. In a desperate attempt to “quiet” the boisterous kids romping in and around the backyard pool next door, the homeowner called us and was thrilled to find out about 1/8 inch patented AcoustiFence.

AcoustiFence sound deadening material has been shown to reduce noise by up 10-12 decibels in sound meter tests. This represents more than a 50% reduction in sound as perceived by the human ear!
