Carbs are your thyroid’s BFF!

If you’re struggling to increase your metabolism, I always recommend 2 things:

1.) Check your diet & lifestyle
2.) Run a FULL thyroid & s*x hormone panel

Yes, changing your diet & lifestyle can take you a LONG way, however, if there is something going on with s*x hormones or other hormonal markers, this can also be the thing holding your net back from improving.

Not sure how to go about any of this?

The old BS myth that women do better on fat than carbs🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes, if you want a female’s metabolism to “slow down” faster, sure, this is a GREAT protocol to follow 🙄

Female physiology is different from male physiology, however, this isn’t a reason to completely destroy her through low carb dieting and excessive training.

The problem isn’t the carbs, the problem is that you don’t know how to utilize carbs with females, so the answer isn’t these extreme bu****it diets.

The female body NEEDS carbs for a few reason:
1.) helps thyroid functions
2.) decrease the stress response
3.) slows down metabolic adaptions
4.) slows down suppression on s*x hormones

The best method for females is carb cycling because it’s allowing a push, but the backing off to drive down the stress response that can slow down progress.

For females, the harder the we push, the harder we need to recover them to keep progress going - yes, that’s even in a fat loss and contest prep!

Let’s do better by our females and stop thinking they need extremes because they have a different hormonal profiles than males- that’s where you’re messing up!
