A heartfelt thank you to artist Jozza Pop Art and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital for creating something truly special for pediatric cancer warriors.

As part of the Panthers on the Prowl initiative, young patients helped design a vibrant, life-size panther sculpture. With a bell around its neck to symbolize the end of treatment, this sculpture brings hope, smiles, and strength to children and families facing cancer.

We're proud to be part of this inspiring collaboration to support cancer research, advocacy, and care.

Reno Fuhrman can relate to the cancer patients he takes to appointments as he volunteers with the American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program. He is a survivor of multiple skin cancers, esophageal cancer, colon cancer and prostate cancer. Now cancer-free, he says, “Volunteering with Road To Recovery is my way of giving back, of paying it forward.”

This National Cancer Survivors Month, we honor Reno and the more than 18 million cancer survivors living in the United States.

We are thrilled to announce Heather Ford as the incoming Chair of the American Cancer Society Southwest Florida Area Board.

A proud Tampa native, Heather brings a wealth of experience and passion to this role. She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of South Florida and has been a licensed CPA in Florida for more than 23 years. Heather currently oversees all finance and accounting operations at Power Design and plays a key role in shaping the company's corporate strategy.

Her commitment to community service is unmatched. In addition to her long-standing support of ACS, Heather also serves on the Advisory Board for the Florida Institute of CFOs and is the current Board Chair for Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco, the largest Habitat affiliate in the country. She was honored with the Tampa Bay Business & Wealth Magazine CFO Apogee Award in 2023 and named Tampa Bay Business Journal CFO of the Year in 2019.
