MacDonald Training Center (MTC) Team was honored to attend the 37th Annual City of Tampa Mayor’s Alliance Awards Ceremony on October 24th — recognizing individuals and organizations who promote inclusive workplaces, recreation, and communities for people with disabilities throughout the City of Tampa.

We’re proud that two of MTC’s nominees were honored with awards:
🏆 Employer of the Year — Terrence White & Cathy Grant, Moffitt Cancer Center
and
🏅 Joe Sanchez, Jr. Outstanding Leadership Award — Tampa City Councilman Luis Viera - District 7

Together, we’re advancing the spirit of National Disability Employment Awareness Month — building a community where hope meets opportunity.

A Full Circle Moment of Kindness and Community 💙

MacDonald Training Center (MTC) is deeply honored to receive a gracious gift from The Junior League of Tampa (JLT) — a beautifully crafted “Kindness Bench”, created as part of JLT’s Centennial Celebration.

This thoughtful gift carries special meaning for us. In the 1950s, our Founder J. Clifford MacDonald’s wife, Georgia (Georgie) Cornelius MacDonald, was an active and passionate member of The Junior League of Tampa. The JLT was the first community organization to partner with MTC, contributing thousands of dollars and countless volunteer hours to help bring our mission to life.

Now, decades later, their continued generosity and spirit of service remind us how lasting partnerships create lasting impact.

From the very beginning, The Junior League of Tampa helped build the foundation of unity, hope, opportunity, and empowerment that defines MTC today. Their “Kindness Bench” stands as both a symbol of community connection and a legacy of compassion that spans generations.

From all of us at MTC — Thank You to The Junior League of Tampa for 100 years of kindness, leadership, and community impact!
