A humble post about the meaning and importance of Sangat in Sikhi…
It basically reminds me of the English proverb: “Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future”
Our minds, actions and our lives are a reflection of the people we choose to spend most of our time with… who is your Sangat?

In Gurbani we hear a lot expressions like “I long for the dust of the feet of the Saints” or
“parabh tayray pag kee Dhoor”
O God, I am the dust of Your feet
but what does it really mean and how can we truly apply these teachings into our lives…
Here is a humble breakdown on the meaning of Charan Dhool or Charan Ren 🙏

Begin your NEW YEARS RESOLUTION NOW!!! We are entering the month of Magh Sangrand, a time to Embrace Divine Wisdom.

Guru Sahib teaches that the month of Magh is blessed when a Sikh stays absorbed in Naam Simran, seeks Sadh Sangat, and walks humbly on Gurmat.

True warmth in Magh does not come from rituals or bathing alone, but from keeping the Guru’s Shabad in the heart. A Sikh should use this month to strengthen discipline, serve selflessly, control ego, and remain firmly aligned with Guru Sahib’s Hukam.

Let the divine teachings guide us on the path of peace, wisdom and self-reflection.

Take advantage of this time to begin you 40-day Jaap Journey and strengthen your connection to Guru Sahib, enhance your focus, establish a steady and consistent Sikh practice, and perhaps achieve a goal or an objective you’ve been seeking. This is the BESR TIME FOR SIKHS to begin their New Years Resolution.
LET’S GO!!!

Have you heard of a 40- Day Jaap? Did you know there is an early Sikh tradition in which GuruSikhs would start a 40-Day Jaap on the 14th day of January? We can also incorporate this practice into our lives and this could be part of our New Year’s resolution. Do you have a “Sikh New Year’s Resolution”? If you do, share it in the comments and tell us if you are going to implement a 40- Day Sadhana to jump start your resolution plan.
Happy New Year dear Sangat! 🙏

As a Brazilian/ American Sikh family we celebrate Christmas with our loved ones. Our extended family is Christian and Christmas has always been a special time for all. What we love most about the Sikh faith is the respect Sikhs have towards all faiths. Sikhs do not convert or condemn anyone and Sikhs aim to integrate to society and still remain true to our values. Sikhs are also big practitioners of charity, giving, and sharing, and this is a big part of the spirit of Christmas Season. Yesterday, my Christian father gave me a Khanda necklace as a gift… it was such a special moment… we love and respect each other, we support each other’s paths and growth and our ultimate aim is to feel and experience The Creator in each and every moment of life.
Merry Christmas to all… from our American Sikh Family with love and respect 🙏❤️

In December, the Sikhs remembered the Battle of Chamkaur, in which 40 incredibly courageous and resilient soldiers of Guru Gobind Singh’s army, fought against thousands of Mughals. In this battle, the two elder sons of the Guru along with many Sikhs sacrificed their lives for the sake of the Khalsa Panth. In December we honor their lives and their courage as a testament of their commitment towards Sikh Dharma.
