Today’s collective breath is all about finding your pelvic floor.

Diaphragmatic breathing is a powerful tool to help release tension in the pelvic floor muscles. But here’s the reality—if you can’t feel your pelvic floor, it’s hard to truly let it go.

One simple way to build that brain-body connection: sit on a towel roll. That added feedback can improve awareness, and awareness is what leads to a more effective release.

Try it at home and notice what changes.

Don’t forget to like and share with someone who could use this.

Social media loves black and white answers, but real care lives in the gray.

Evidence-based practice isn’t just research. It’s research + clinical expertise + your individual needs.

You deserve care that’s as unique as you are.

A history of constipation does not mean a lifetime of constipation.

I’ve helped many patients move from inconsistent, uncomfortable bowel habits to having a daily, complete p**p using simple, targeted strategies. Breath work, daily movement, and a consistent bowel routine can make a bigger impact than you think and when needed, pelvic floor physical therapy helps address the root cause.

If you’re tired of feeling bloated, uncomfortable, and dissatisfied with your bowel routine, it might be time for a different approach.

Your body is capable of change.

Most people assume leaking with a laugh, cough, jump, or sneeze means your pelvic floor is weak. Sometimes that’s true. But not always.

Pelvic floor muscles can also be too tight. And muscles that stay tight don’t move well. If they can’t respond to pressure, they can’t do their job when you need them most. That’s when leaks happen.

It’s not just about strength. It’s about timing, coordination, and the ability to both contract and relax.

If you’re not sure whether your pelvic floor is weak, tight, or somewhere in between, a pelvic floor evaluation can give you clarity and direction for the right plan.

During today’s collective breath, we’re adding visualization.

Use color as your guide. Inhale a color that feels supportive, calming, or strong. Exhale a color that represents tension, discomfort, or pain.

Breath and imagery together can shift how your body responds. Try it for a few cycles and see what changes.

Let me know what you notice.

Scar tissue isn’t always visible, but your body can feel it. Restrictions after surgery can limit movement and contribute to pain. Dry needling is one tool we use to help improve mobility, reduce tension, and support more comfortable movement.

Your deep core is the foundation for everything you do. When you build awareness, coordination, and control at the level of the pelvic floor and core, the rest of your movement, strength, and function has room to grow.

This season, focus less on pushing harder and more on tending to the basics. Breath, connection, and control are where real change begins.

What are you doing to support your roots this spring 🌸

Today’s collective breath comes to you from Indian Rocks Beach in Florida 🌊

Breathing has a natural rhythm, much like the waves along the shore. Each inhale rolls in and each exhale returns back out, creating a steady, calming pattern.

Take in the sounds of the beach and let them guide your breath. Next time you practice, bring yourself back to your happy place and allow your breath to move with ease. breath ❤️

Biofeedback is a powerful tool to build proprioceptive awareness of your pelvic floor.

Sometimes we are simply not connected to the muscles at the center of our body. It can be hard to tell if they are weak, overworking, or gripping all day.

With biofeedback, you can actually see what your muscles are doing in real time. That visual feedback helps bridge the gap between what you feel and what is happening, improving coordination and control as your awareness grows.

Do you clench your glutes when you stand?

That constant gripping can add tension and pain.

Try sacral rocking to unstick the grip, restore movement, and feel the difference.
