Off to the airport!

It was an even busier week 2 in Chitré as the Pharmacy crew teamed up with Nursing to provide health services to those in the surrounding community as well as the small town of Chepo wayyyyy up in the mountains. Students also visited schools, hospitals, and pharmacies where they gave talks about medication adherence and disposal, took blood pressures, and provided patient counseling. Again, we'd like to thank everyone that helped us get to Panama. This has been a wonderful unforgettable, educational experience. We are definitely looking forward to future collaborations!

During a VERY busy Week 1 in Panama City, the group visited the Panama Canal, Casco Viejo, La Facultad de Farmacia de la Universidad de Panamá, the USF Health office in the City of Knowledge, GlaxoSmithKline pharmaceutical company, the Ministry of Health, Farmacia y Dr**as, the Universidad de Panamá Herbarium & Serpentarium, and concluded with a visit to the pharmacy dept. of the Social Security Hospital yesterday. We've learned so much about Panamanian health care, pharmacy, and culture and on Sunday we will travel to Chitre for clinical practice with the USF College of Nursing.
