As many of you know, Dr. Braun sold his practice to another healthcare organization in January of 2023. This other organization absorbed most of the patients and staff and then moved the practice to a site in Ybor City.
Without any warning, they laid off about 10 people in the West Central Florida area, including Dr. Braun and some other members of the staff that remained. As this was completely unexpected, there was no opportunity to prepare, no opportunity to look for other options and no opportunity to notify our loyal and committed patients.
At this point, Dr. Braun has still not decided if he is going to retire or continue to work. He is talking with several entities who have expressed interest in utilizing his skills. Once those talks are completed and a decision is made, we will make an announcement regarding the future of Dr. Braun’s plans.
We sincerely apologize for the abruptness and suddenness of these actions that have caused so much confusion and uncertainty. Please be advised this was absolutely out of our control.
In the meantime, patients can continue their care at the CAN facility on Nebraska Avenue. However, anyone looking for other places to be seen can consider:
