We are thrilled to share wonderful progress on our outdoor courtyard project here at The Bridges of Hendricks Creek! After a lot of hard work, we've got many flowers and vegetables in the ground and much more to go.

We'd like to give a huge Thank You to Greenleaf Nursery here in Tarboro for their incredible donation! They graciously donated over 50+ staple plants to add to our landscape including hydrangeas, azaleas, fig trees, camellias, and many others! A special shoutout to Molly Dixon with Greenleaf for making this possible. You're support means the world to our community and residents.

We've got 32 tomato plants (6 varieties), cucumbers to grow over the trellis, peppers, squash, and watermelons. Bunches of flowers with some already starting to bloom!

We'd love to make this area even better! If you'd like to support the project, we're seeking multiple picnic tables, benches, outdoor chairs, swings, bird feeders, and any other wonderful additions you'd like to give (even if it needs some TLC). Contact Josh, or Maris, if you'd like to support. We also have an Amazon List with ideas of the items we are seeking! https://a.co/0e0tMkPt

🎉 Wall of Honor Dedication Ceremony at The Bridges of Hendricks Creek

On Friday, April 24th, we proudly dedicated our beautiful new Wall of Honor at The Bridges of Hendricks Creek. This special space now stands as a lasting tribute to the veterans and heroes who have served our country with courage and honor.

We were truly overwhelmed by the incredible turnout — it was a powerful reminder of how deeply our community values those who have sacrificed so much. The ceremony was made even more meaningful with our very own Mr. Jerome playing the national anthem on the piano and also the participation of the Tarboro High School ROTC, whose professionalism, respect, and presence added such dignity to the event. Special thanks to Mr. John Walker with My Tarboro Today, LLC for coming as well!

None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our incredible partners:
• Hospice of Wilson
• Edgecombe County Veterans' Military Museum

Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts for your sponsorship and donations that helped bring this Wall of Honor to life. Your commitment to honoring our veterans is truly inspiring.

We’ve attached a collection of photos from this special day — moments of reflection, pride, and community togetherness. We hope these images capture even a fraction of the emotion felt by everyone who attended.

To all who came out, participated, and supported this project: thank you. This Wall of Honor belongs to our entire community.

💔 With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our beloved Mr. Rick — a true original who was equal parts handful and heart of gold.

Mr. Rick certainly kept us on our toes! With his mischievous grin, strong opinions, and endless energy, he was never one to blend into the background. He was a handful in the very best way — full of life, quick with a witty remark, and always ready to stir things up with that sparkle in his eye. But beneath that spirited exterior was a man who loved deeply and fiercely.

No one could miss how smitten he was with Dawn. His face would light up whenever she was near, and his affection for her was one of the sweetest, most genuine things many of us ever witnessed. Their connection brought joy, laughter, and beautiful moments to our community.

Mr. Rick may have been a handful at times, but he was also unforgettable. He taught us patience, reminded us not to take life too seriously, and showed us what it means to love boldly. The hallways feel quieter without his voice, his stories, and his larger-than-life presence.
