With a new year here and so many new friends joining us, we wanted to share an updated introduction post for those of you who don’t already know us!

We’re the Patterson family — Ashton (on the left) and my wife Carrie (on the right) — the hearts behind The Patterson Pantry. We run our at-home micro bakery right here in Taylorsville, NC.

What started as a little side hustle for friends and family slowly grew into something we kept dreaming about. For almost two years, we talked about doing this full time but never really knew when the “right” moment would be. Then COVID hit, we were both laid off, and we took that as our sign and said… it’s time!!

We started with very humble beginnings — no business experience, no plan, and only a couple hundred dollars to our name. We both continued working while trying to get things off the ground, learning as we went. Then in the middle of 2023, I took a huge leap of faith and quit my job to do this full time… and it has been such a blessing ever since 🤍

And then came 2025… and in the blink of an eye, everything changed 🥹
All because of that little fried apple pie. 🍎

This past year, our business truly took off, and we were able to place our products in 8 retail stores across North Carolina — something we had only ever dreamed of. Our goal has always been simple: to bring our community good food, made with lots of love and simple ingredients… just like it should be 🤍

If you know us at all, you know the kitchen, the outdoors, and our garden are our therapy 😌 We’ve always loved sharing our sweet treats, fresh produce, homemade breads, and canned goods with our community, so creating a business around that love just felt right.

We believe in good food made the right way — with simple ingredients, old family recipes, and lots of love. From homemade fried pies, breads and sweet treats to canned goods straight from our garden, everything we make is rooted in home, tradition, and community.

Right now pickups/deliveries are set to every Thursday & Saturday only. But I do update any availability daily!

Starting this Sunday I will be posting our weekly specials again, with no order minimums!! And we deliver directly to you or even your workplace!! Absolutely FREE!! 💕

✨Happy New Year✨

We sit here in tears thinking about 2025. How grateful we are for all of you. All the opportunities, partnerships, & lifelong friendships we have made.

We sold 15,567 fried pies this year!! We never would have thought that was even possible in our small at home micro bakery. Or that that many people would be interested in our business. And it’s all because you guys! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support & grace with us. 🥹

This year has opened so many doors, opportunities, & so much growth for us that we have only dreamed about. We’re going into this new year excited, hopeful, and humble. We absolutely cannot wait to see what’s in store for 2026.

We hope this coming up year brings nothing but blessings and happiness to all of you & your families.
