“Bodhi.” This beautiful Sanskrit word translates to “awakening” and “enlightenment,” and seems related to “body.” Kind of like…. Yoga?
Yoga is for the union of the mind, body and spirit. The study of yoga is a discipline to expand our mental abilities and connect to the universal energies around us. It is a tool we use to regulate the nervous systems through practices such as the asanas, meditation, clean eating, spiritual devotion, and non-stop mindfulness gained from Svadhyaya, or self-study.
Yoga is dynamic, conscious, cleansing, holistic, empowering, and… enlightening!
If you have ever felt overcome by energy within or outside of yourself, yoga will help you. If you lack structure or focus, yoga will help you. If you feel disconnected from your body, & unsure of why it isn’t at optimal performance, yoga will help you. If you would like a deeper connection to nature, yoga will help you. If you would like to realize your true purpose and desires, yoga will help you. The beauty of it is that there are so many different ways to live a yogic life, and every person needs their own, unique style.
