Advocates Online is a network of Special Education Advocates that joined together to provide affordable advocacy memberships for immediate access to qualified advocates via chat and video conferencing. Special Education advocacy is for parents that need help with their child's IEP and services. We provide a facebook parent suppot group as well as the following:
*Full review of your child’s school
records to include: IEP, 504 plans, transition plans, and behavior support or intervention plans.
* Provide resources, referrals, and other information to assist you and your child such as; Parent education on Student’s rights & Parent’s rights and assistance in obtaining supplemental services.
*Preparation for upcoming IEP, 504, transition, behavior plans, SST meetings.
*Attendance at IEP, 504, transition, behavior plan, and SST meetings.
*Provide input to parents on decisions regarding initial placement, triennial, annual, and IEEs (Independent Educational Evaluations), and IEP goals.
*Writing of goals and objectives for your student – IEP goals.
*Representing students for special accommodations and modifications of curriculum and materials in the classroom.
*Transitioning to NPS (non-public schools) or private placement (as needed).
*Complaints to the Dept of Ed, OCR, OSEP, etc.
