I have a private practice as a Life Coach and Grief Consultant located within the Wellspring Holistic Center in Tempe, AZ. My oldest daughter Bridget and I were in a car accident in 2003. She was 14 at the time and I was 36. The other half of our family died. My husband (Brent who was 36, my 11 year old daughter (Lindsey) and Bridget's best friend Tawnee who was 15. I crossed over with them and my husband and daughter told me it was not my time, I had to go back. Six months later I started a non-profit organization to help families when a loved one dies to sudden death. I realized after five years of giving my time away to help others I needed to continue to do what I do however through my own company of Enlightenedpathways.
With a compassionate and empathetic tone Karla Kay unveils how grief comes to us in ways we could never imagine. Presented in common language, Karla brings to the surface a fresh understanding to grief and a new paradigm to the world of Loss. Grief The Universal emotion of Loss explores the journey we take through grief and the self-discovery that lies within us. From Karla s own tragedy of sudden death of her husband and daughter she was thrust in to the depths of her own nightmare; and when the expert advice, prescription and therapy fell short she began to examine the feelings, thoughts and emotions of her own grief process. From her new awareness, Karla was inspired to share her vision for moving through the world of grief. For those in the depth of grief, those who have not faced their grief, and for those reaching out to loved ones or friends going through it, Grief, The Universal Emotion of Loss brings the hope and understanding that life after grief truly exists.
