The Arc of Bell County The Arc of Bell County is a non-profit organization providing activities for individuals with IDD. We alternate weeks with different activities. 18years& up

(Intellectual and Developmental Disability) We offer a fun night every Thursday from 6:00-7:30. The Arc of Bell County is a non-profit organization that offers a fun night every Thursday from 6:00-7:30 at Wilson Rec. Center in Temple, 2205 Curtis B Elliott Dr. for ages 14 & up. 14-18 year old clients will need to have an adult stay with them. We have arts/crafts, bingo, movies, game room and various activities in the gym. Sometimes it is open gym, basketball or volleyball. We have special activities such as Halloween and Valentines Dances with a DJ and food provided by the nursing students from UMHB. We have a bowling activity in Killeen and those who participate are invited to a banquet sponsored by the Elks Lodge in Temple. The American Legion in Temple sponsors a Christmas Party with hotdogs, Santa Claus and goodie bags. The Arc of Bell County also supports and sponsors the ARC Buccaneers which is our Special Olympic team. Sports we participate in are bowling, bocce ball, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, track/field, swimming and tennis. If you have a client interested in participating in Special Olympics she will need to have physical and have a current medical form on file with Special Olympics Texas. These are good for 3 years and we can give you the form. We look forward to hearing back from you and hope you'll attend a fun night for more details.

Out of an abundance of caution we are cancelling track practice for Saturday, March 7th due to the possibility of thunderstorms in the morning. Everyone stay safe and I hope to see everyone on Wednesday.

Track/Field athletes, parents, caregivers, etc., there has been a change for competition. Chaparral High School in Killeen will no longer be the location. We will be competing with Area 13 on April 11 in Leander. I will put out more information when I have it.
