Why do we read the word of God and call it Truth,….but only believe and walk in the parts that suit us. We live in a world where the roaring lion is devouring us, “the church” from the inside out. Encroaching through our emotions and sinful reasoning, getting us to change not only how we view sin, but also how we condone it, in people’s lives that we love, such as those in our families, and even now in the church, all for the sake of losing a relationship with said person. However, the Word tells us to not allow such behavior in the church, that we are to eradicate it, and cast it out, why? Because condoning just a lil bit of sin, spoils the whole batch. You see if we allow a lil sin here, then we must allow a lil sin there, then of course since they got their way, I now want mine. So before you know it, the entire Word of God has been changed to fit us, rather than us changing, to fit His word. Slippery slopes are exactly that, slippery, you may think that you’re good, but your fall is inevitable.
Romans 1:32 tells us that condoning someone’s sin is a sin, and so we “as Gods Children” should be spurring each other on to greater Godly things, not comforting them in their complacency. We should be helping the world from their damnation, not inviting it into the church with them, so that they feel comfortable. Yes Gods house is for the broken, yes Gods house is for the sinner, but to grow from the world,…not deeper in it! Jesus hung out with sinners to change them from being worldly, to being Godly, and we should do the same.
Below you will see a verse from Gods inspired word, teaching us His heart on what’s wrong with sin being celebrated in the church. Notice that Paul writes how they’re proud of having this behavior in their church! Other words there’s no repentance of this sin, only celebration, and so this demonic spirit must be removed because by tolerating such open sin and perversion, the church was inviting shame and judgment.
So what does this passage mean? Are we to throw out all sinners from the church? Nope! Because the place would be COMPLETELY EMPTY. Instead what it’s saying is this, accept the sinner, work with them to identify their sin for what it is, then help them to remove it from their lives. Then we work together to help each other day by day, to spur each other on, to be more like Christ, and less like the world. This verse also means that we are not to condone sin, for the sake of the sinner, but instead we are to rebuke sin, for the sake of their eternity. AND as Paul is doing,.. we should rebuke any body of believers that are leading Gods people in this wrong way, for their sake, and the sake of their congregations.
This will not be easy, and it will not be wanted, but it must be done. The god of this world has stolen the reins of the church for far too long, and it’s time to take them back. Stay strong stay faithful and stay true to He who called you! I pray that you hear Paul’s heart in these verses, no he is not being gentle, because the time for gentleness has passed, the demonic spirit had too much control in their church, so the time for sternness and a righteous anger was needed. We should walk by the spirit, we should glorify God, but we should also not back down! The time is here and the time is now, pray as you watch listen and learn, then pray before you speak, so that your words glorify Him, and that they have ears to hear, and hearts to receive!
Be Cool Be Blessed!
