Our philosophy is grounded in principles of recovery, including community support, structure, personal responsibility, and accountability. We maintain an inclusive approach, welcoming individuals pursuing recovery in a broad range of mutual aid fellowships (e.g., Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, SMART Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, Refuge Recovery). Stepping Stone Recovery – Sober Living is a 4 bedroom/2 bathroom home located in the heart of Texas City. To maintain an intimate environment, occupancy is limited to 6 residents, as well as a house coordinator who lives on-site. Bedroom occupancy is limited to 2 residents. Bunk beds are not utilized. To ensure a comfortable climate, the home is serviced by a central air-conditioning, as well as an additional localized unit. All appliances are modern, including laundry facilities. The home is conveniently located near any number of small to large businesses, presenting ample employment opportunities. The area is serviced by public transportation, and the home is located near both Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meeting halls. We welcome residents with medical and/or mental health conditions which are effectively treated with medications. Additionally, we are pleased to be able to serve individuals prescribed medication assisted treatment (MAT) medications. Stepping Stone Recovery – Sober Living is committed to facilitating access to supportive housing for individuals actively pursuing recovery. We understand that affordability and funding constraints can prove challenging for individuals in early recovery. As such, we will continue to do everything we are able, in order to ensure that residency in the home remains as affordable as is possible. In cooperation with benefactors in the broader recovery community, we are pleased to oversee a funding program, which can occasionally present opportunities for residency that may not be available, otherwise.
