I started as a hospitality aide, advanced to a CNA, and ultimately became a nurse. Along the way, I experienced the beauty and the chaos of providing care. From holding the hands of patients in their most vulnerable moments to racing against the clock during emergencies, every day in healthcare brought its triumphs and challenges. And through it all, my scrubs told the story—soiled, stained, and stretched to their limits. Here’s the thing: while I embraced the challenges and purpose of my job, I couldn’t justify breaking the bank to meet its demands.
