Our Story

The COCO Pod is a licensed professional esthetics salon offering plant-based customized professional skin therapy, body hair removal, eye beauty enhancements, and hand-crafted natural skincare for hair and body. The COCO Pod is a unique and private setting.

The owner-operator, Katina Gilmore, is passionate about skincare. Having her own issues with sensitive skin, acne, and eczema in 2009 she began experimenting in the kitchen with the creation of home-made botanical skin and hair products. She later pursued her passion for professional skincare by becoming a licensed esthetician in 2015. She continued to enhance her skills and knowledge by completing post-graduate education at The International Dermal Institute, as well certifications with several professional brands including Dermalogica, Murad, Clarity Rx, SkinScript Rx, and SkinCeuticals. With her background in health education and skincare she continued to broaden her knowledge as a skincare expert by becoming a registered nurse and plans to become certified as a dermatology/aesthetic/ cosmetic nurse. You can also find her organizing events centered around natural beauty.
