General information
Amy Fair is from Bronx, NY and is the youngest of five children. There were many African-American role models in her life while she was growing up, her mother, aunts and uncles as well as community and church leaders. They encouraged her interests and that encouragement drove her to further excel. Despite life adversities and being raised in a single parent home, she didn’t let that stop her from achieving her goals. She participated in the Miss Vermont 2000 pageant and was the only African American contestant. Additionally, participated in the Miss Full Figure USA 2011 pageant and won Ms. Congeniality. Since then she modeled for many designers and often says, “I model for a cause.” She is using the modeling as a vehicle to help others. Her love and passion is advocating for diabetes awareness and helping young women and children. She diligently works to develop programs and coordinate with others to create events that educate and motivate women of all ages. She has been an active volunteer within the church community by organizing fundraisers, coordinating fashion shows and also had her current employment donate 34 computers to her church elementary school to have a computer room. Inspired to change lives one head at a time, she recently founded a charitable organization, Fair In Action. Modeled after her personal struggles with health & family issues she is looking to increase awareness in her community and offer resources.
