Jewelry is an emotional item. Whether it’s a memory of a loved one, a celebration, or a token of affection, jewelry has emotions all over it. Even those who don’t care about jewelry can be moved when they find out it’s value.

We recently had a gentleman in the office who couldn’t care less about the jewelry itself. What he did get excited about was the value of the gold and diamonds in the secondary market. His inherited items were valued properly for him, documented and he sold them with confidence after our appointment.

We offer knowledge and resources you can trust for your jewelry needs.

I’ve been traveling this last week to Singapore. As always, I leave a piece of my heart everywhere we go. The people, the food, the culture here….so in love with all of it.

And of course - the jewelry!!! Meeting colleagues and being treated to see and experience some of the most beautiful gems and jewelry was incredible.

There is a lot of information out there on the internet. Equal truths to lies. One can look up anything, anytime and get lots of ‘information’ that seems legit.

Information isn’t always ‘knowledge’ though. We’ve seen some questionable purchases from online sellers that haven’t been quite on the up and up.

We recommend a PRE-purchase consultation to avoid disappointment and loss of money.

Call us. We’ll answer your questions and help guide you to the right decision for you, before you make any purchases. A 15 minute consultation is always complimentary.

Knowledge you can trust.

I remember the very first red spinel I saw. It stopped me in my tracts as the gem dealer unfolded the paper it was tucked away in. The vibrant red, the clarity, and brightness - the stone just leapt out the paper and into my heart. I thought to myself, move over ruby, there’s a new stone in town. That was over 35 years ago and it’s still a top favorite of mine. (But let’s be honest….i have a lot of favorites here)

And I’ll be showing you another great one that we appraised this week. Stay tuned.

Yesterday was my first day back in the office after a long holiday break. The first client of the day asked me ‘What made you get into this?’ I haven’t been asked that in as long as I can remember. But I instantly flashed back to when I was a little girl, finding shiny rocks while camping. I giggled to myself remembering the days of hiking and playing in the mountain areas where lots of granite and quarts would glisten in the sun. It all started there. And then my great grandmother would show me all the trinkets in her jewelry box and let me try them on. I LOVED it!! I still wear some of those trinkets to this day. None of them hold great values, but the memories do.

What shiny rocks do you like? And did your grandmother let you play dress up with her jewelry?
