"Postpartum is a quest back to yourself. Alone in your body again. You will never be the same, you are stronger than you were." —Amethyst Joy

To every mama navigating this journey: your body has done something extraordinary, and now you're discovering who you are in this new chapter. The path back to yourself isn't about returning to who you were—it's about embracing the incredible strength you've gained along the way.

You're not broken. You're not lost. You're transforming. 💙

If you're struggling with postpartum challenges, remember that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. You don't have to do this alone. Call us at The Center for Postpartum Family Health

💔Our hearts are with the families, students, staff, and first responders impacted by the tragic act of school violence at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Each time violence strikes a school community, the ripple of grief and fear extends far beyond its walls—touching parents, children, educators, and helpers everywhere.

As mental health providers, we know events like this can bring up distress, anxiety, or resurfacing trauma for many. If you or your child are feeling unsettled, you are not alone. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, and we are here to listen and walk alongside you.

We also recognize these tragedies are happening in the midst of larger systemic challenges—oppressive orders, budget cuts, and policies that disproportionately harm marginalized communities and strain access to care. These realities deepen our grief, but they also strengthen our resolve to advocate, support, and stand together.

❤️‍🩹In moments like this, we encourage you to:
• Limit media exposure, especially for children.
• Keep routines and offer extra connection.
• Name and validate emotions without rushing to “fix” them.
• Remember: healing happens in community, not isolation.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please know help is available:
📞: Call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline
📱: Text HOME to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line

We grieve together. We stand together. And we will continue to work for a safer, more compassionate world for our children and families.

August is National Breastfeeding Month, a time to celebrate and support breastfeeding parents. But despite its importance, many parents feel a lack of support. In fact, around 60% of birthing people stop breastfeeding sooner than they planned because they don't have the resources or help they need.

If you or someone you know is on a breastfeeding journey, remember you're not alone. Reach out today to learn about the support and resources available. Let's work together to make sure every parent feels seen, heard, and supported.

Would your office like to become a Blue Dot Safe Spot for perinatal mental health? They are taking applications for their pilot program!

https://safespot.thebluedotproject.org/

Participating medical offices, community health centers, clinics, high school/ college nurses’ offices, etc., will take the Perinatal Mental Health training to ensure they have the appropriate knowledge and language to support perinatal patients and properly refer them to help and resources.

By training medical practitioners and staff, we create Mental Health Safe Spots for parents during pregnancy, postpartum, and post-loss. These safe spots serve as welcoming, informed spaces where individuals can feel seen, heard, and supported in their mental health journey.

Once trained, participating locations will become a verified Blue Dot mental health Safe Spot, signifying their commitment to perinatal mental health awareness and support. Safe Spots can display their official verification in their offices and online, signaling to parents that they are in a trusted space for mental health conversations and care.

Welcome to The Blue Dot Safe Spot Training Postpartum Support International’s The Blue Dot Safe Spot program focuses on reaching and training medical practitioners and their office staff on perinatal mental health and the pathways to support for their patients.
