Hello! I’m Jenna, founder of Prana Wellness in Thief River Falls. For someone who has never been “a woman of few words,” it feels right to finally properly introduce myself.
Here is a condensed version of my story—
Born and raised in Thief River Falls, I fell in love with movement early on: Pilates, yoga, meditation, anything that made me feel grounded. I wasn’t an athlete, but I loved how physical movement could shift my entire mood. As a youth gymnastics coach in high school,
I discovered how natural it felt to guide others through movement and bring attention to general wellness.
In my early adulthood, I pushed myself too hard with intense workouts, little sleep, and no overall balance in my routine. On the outside I looked fine, but inside I felt depleted. Returning to mindful movement became essential, and every tough day felt lighter the moment I stepped onto my mat.
College took me from Duluth to Grand Forks. Through college major changes, loss, and a pandemic, I felt more and more disconnected from my purpose. I took a few gap semesters, worked, traveled, and kept searching for direction. But one thing stayed steady: I felt most myself in community-centered spaces where people came to move, breathe, and heal together. I kept attending classes, earned certifications, and eventually began teaching. This period reminded me I was on the right path.
During my last semester, everything shifted when my sister sent me a photo of a studio space back home, the same place where I took my first yoga class as a teen. It felt like a sign. I moved home, finished my Psychology degree, and poured my heart into building something meaningful.
On May 1st, 2025, Prana Wellness opened its doors.
These last six months have been some of the happiest of my life, meeting new people, building community, and expanding into a second location. I could not have dreamt of a better place to be. I am endlessly grateful for every person who has stepped into the studio.
With all my heart, thank you.

P.S. The last video is my sister and I doing a VHS workout as kids. Some passions never fade.
