How a FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE consultation works at Roots Wellness-
Toni takes about 1-1.5 hours to get to know her patients. She puts the pieces together and orders tests that she believes would be able to further identify the root of the problem.
We then discuss results once in, together and come up with a plan.
We also have the option to do just 30 minute consults for those looking to optimize just hormones. And if you want to explore other root problems then we can look into that at another appointment. So we can break it down into different visits.
Just remember that addressing hormone symptoms is just the beginning. If we don’t address the gut and toxic burden then we won’t be able to fully optimize you.
This goes for PCOS, Weight problems, thyroid cortisol, andropause, menopause, peri-menopause etc.
Toni is able to see patients in person or virtually for patients living in California or Oregon.

Yes, we DO test at Roots Wellness. But we also treat based off symptoms. Testing provides a good baseline and can also see how one is progressing.
When you come in for a Functional Medicine Consultation we will not only get a full history and discuss symptoms but will:
Check blood work for biomarkers, hormones etc.
Gut Health using GI MAP
DUTCH Test to see how your hormones are metabolized and
Sometimes, depending on what is going on, toxin testing and or early cancer detection.
