Prayers for baby Jensen

I blinked and this tiny 1 lb 7 oz baby is 5 years old, 40.8 lbs and 3 ft 7 in tall and started Kindergarten today.

Jensen, I can not you believe you're five today! You came into this world at just 26 weeks and 2 days, a whole 3 months early. You were a tiny little miracle at just 1 lb 7 oz, and I had never seen anything so small, with your precious eyes still closed. The medical team didn’t give us much hope, but look at you now—you're a true fighter. Your strength and resilience amaze me every day. Today, we celebrate you, my sweet little boy. Happiest of birthdays, Buggy! You are so loved!

It’s been entirely to long since I posted an update here.

Jensen is doing great. He is now 3 1/2 years old. He refuses to use the potty, says he wants to be a baby still 🤦🏼‍♀️. He is an amazing big brother and loves his little sister. He is going to be a big brother again in April. He loves to play outside and with anything Blaze and the Monster Machines related.

He is now in size 4T and almost 30 lbs

We’re a bit late to the party over here 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

Jensen turned 3 on Sunday May 28th. We had a small cake and balloons at home with his nana’s. Today we took a trip to tri-cities and went to Chuck E. Cheese. The kids had a blast!

Thank you to whomever sent Jensen this shirt and the blaze cars. He is in heaven.

Sweet Jensy Bug! You are wild and rambunctious these days. You love to push the limits and see what you can get away with. You love to finish nana’s food when she is done eating but refuse to eat your own even though it’s the same things. But most of all, you are so loving and sweet.

Yesterday Jensen had his first urgent care visit for x-rays. He was playing and hurt his foot. He would cry and fall down everytime he tried to walk. He found crawling to be easy and fun again.

His x-rays were negative for a fracture and this morning he is doing better. He is starting to walk on it now.

It’s been a minute since I posted an update.

Jensen is enjoying being a big brother. He loves his baby sister.

He is talking so much. I don’t remember Caleb saying this many words at jensens age. But then again, I was in the nicu with Jensen when Caleb was this age.

Jensen loves to climb and get into everything. He is right there alongside avan and Caleb getting into mischief.

Oh and anytime we try to give baby sister a bottle of mommas milk Jensen takes it. 🤣

Jensen was smaller than your elf on the shelf for the first month or so of his life. Crazy when you think of it like that. Now he is a rough and tumble toddler walking around.

It is hard to really appreciate how tiny micro-preemies are.
