Tiffin (OH) – September 11, 2016 was a special day in Tiffin, Ohio. A committee of 20-plus and numerous volunteers planned the Patriot Day Salute on the 15-year anniversary of 9/11 to celebrate first responders including Police, Fire, and Hospital Personnel. Thousands of people came to witness the memorial service, 5K run, parade and concert at the Seneca County Fairgrounds.
“All of the hard work and dedication of our committee members paid off in a huge way,” Bernie Steinmetz, a member of the planning committee, said. “What was once a dream of Brigadier General Mark Scheid, who put the committee together, became a reality - a day that will never be forgotten in Seneca County.”
Dead Shark Productions has produced a special commemorative DVD of the Patriot Day Salute that features footage of all of the day’s events along with commentary from Patriot Day Salute committee members. A special premier release first showing of the DVD will take place from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, September 16 at The Ritz Theatre. The timing is designed to follow the Tiffin-Seneca Heritage Festival Parade through downtown Tiffin. This premier is being offered free of charge and DVD orders will be taken at that time. The cost of the DVD is $12, with $2 as a donation in memory of Mike Ringle, a key committee member who recently passed away. Information may be found by visiting www.patriotdaysalute.com.
