Nudge the Bus or Save the Passengers? Make a Choice."

I’m deeply frustrated by the rampant financial exploitation in America. Companies can charge up to 36% interest, with some even reaching 79% on unpaid balances historically. Currently, the average rate is nearly 24%. This shift from productive capitalism—where profits come from creating and selling products—to financial capitalism—where profits come from exploiting those in need—reflects a troubling trend.

Imagine driving up a mountain road and seeing a bus teetering on the edge of a cliff, filled with the executive team from your favorite credit card company. Legally, you might be under no obligation to intervene, but morally and ethically, most of us would feel compelled to help. If I instead nudged the bus over the edge, it would be seen as extreme betrayal or intentional cruelty. I would clearly be charged with a crime.

This crisis erodes the stability of working and middle class and demands action now. Should we continue to accept this, or demand fairer practices? Check out my latest article for a deep dive into this problem and why it's time for change.
