Empowering our community saves lives! After our overdose safety planning training, 96% of participants felt comfortable spotting overdose risks and 97% felt confident helping someone create an overdose safety plan. Nearly everyone said they’ll make overdose safety planning a key part of their prevention toolkit. Together, we’re building skills to prevent overdoses before they happen.

According to SAMHSA's 2024 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6 million Americans misused prescription opioids in the past year, 1.6 million reported illegally manufactured fentanyl use, and only 27.4% of people with substance use disorders who needed treatment actually received it.

As Zero Overdose Strategic & Development Advisor Jorge R. Petit, MD highlights in our latest blog, these numbers remind us that requires an integrated approach.
