This windmill used to be by my neighbors creek where I grew up. He and his wife would relax by it under the big old oak tree. When he passed, my Dad purchased it from his estate and it resided in our back yard. Over the years we would repaint it in the summer as a father-daughter project. Now it will rest on our farm after a quick makeover.

Today we said goodbye to our Beekeeping legend. Here is a picture from our family extraction in 1992 where my love and respect for bees started. I remember scooping honey straight from the hive in those days as a young child. Dad never suited up and could be seen watching the bees in the back yard for hours just as his dad did. Happy to carry on the Day family name as the third generation of beekeepers.
