Tomorrow is the FFL baby shower to support Heartbeat clients! We currently serve 152+ families each month with parenting classes where they earn items for their babies.

Last week we held a cooking class with our clients and it was such a good time! We made soup together and wrapped things up with a raffle, Emily went home with a brand new panini press!! So nice spending time cooking and connecting!! ❤️

Morgan has been such a wonderful pressence and gift to Heartbeat! She sits on two committees and offers in person support to clients at our Maumee location. We are so grateful for her!

“I first got involved with Heartbeat almost ten years ago, when parenting classes were all in-person, at the East Toledo location. With my background in education, I really loved assisting with the growth and development of individuals into more equipped parents. I have stayed connected to Heartbeat ever since, but recently re-engaged in person. I was welcomed onto the events and maternity home committees, where I have found dedicated and selfless volunteers committed to the cause. I have also been able to work with Sue at the uptown Maumee location, where she does phenomenal work with the clients there. To me, Heartbeat is such an important part of our community. Women and families need nonjudgmental, direct support, and the model of pairing education with tangible aid makes a lot of sense to me. I love seeing new or soon-to-be parents leave Heartbeat with more knowledge, confidence, and positivity than when they arrived. I am really thankful for the work the Heartbeat staff does, and I am appreciative of everyone who gives any time, talent, or treasure to the organization.”

Heartbeat of Toledo opened in 1971 as the first Pregnancy Center established in the United States. Core to the mission was a humanitarian effort to provide free pregnancy tests and compassionate support to residents in the Toledo and surrounding communities. After nearly 50yrs., Heartbeat of Toledo still operates out of compassion and our expanded services continue to be free, neutral and confidential. We are not religiously or politically affiliated with any groups and exist to be the best source of education and support to women and families in need.
Unplanned Pregnancy—Your First Look Women’s Center
Your First Look offers free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and confidential options counseling. Before you make any decisions regarding your pregnancy, you’ll want to know if you’re really pregnant; how far along you are; and whether you have an STD/STI. Your First Look can help answer all your questions. We are the only Pregnancy Center in the surrounding area with licensed RDMS Sonographers, Registered Nurses (RN) and Social Workers (LSW and MSW) that work with you as a team, to provide the best source of information and education related to your pregnancy and options.
Heart to Heart Prenatal and Parent Learning Center
Whether you’re newly pregnant or a mom with lots of questions, Heart to Heart parenting instructors are available to help. Best of all you can earn free baby items as you complete each Heart to Heart class. Meet other Moms and families that are on the same journey. Some of the items you can earn are diapers, formula, wipes, car seats, pack ’n plays, clothes, and much more. We will celebrate your hard work and investment into your commitment to parenthood, with a graduation ceremony at the end of classes.
Adoption Support and referral - Sharing Hearts
Women interested in exploring adoption have the unique opportunity to meet with our Adoption Specialist and licensed Social Worker. She meets with interested in adoption, provides education and can refute any misconception around the adoption option. Sharing Hearts, a monthly birth parent support group for those who have made an adoption decision is available to anyone in the community, no matter how long ago this decision was made. This group is the only group of it’s kind within a 200-mile radius.
Post-Abortion Support
If you are hurting from a past abortion, free help is available. Come talk to us.
Emergency Assistance
Heartbeat of Toledo has trained community advocates to help connect you to a variety of resources or support you need during your pregnancy or as a parent. We can help!
